Introduction

A noticeable drop in RPM is not uncommon when removing the glow starter from an idling engine. It usually indicates that either a hotter glow plug or a higher nitro percentage fuel is required. The Japan-made Redline R1 was specifically-developed for operation on low-nitro boats, airplanes, and helicopters engines.

Due to its long-reach thread design (7/32" / 5.55mm), the R1 is not recommended for small-size enignes(.15 or less).
