Thunder Tiger ST1 Wheels
Question:
Hello,
I am writing to you about a problem that I am having with my ST1.
I received a lovely gift from my wife on Christmas morning, a brand new RTR Thunder Tiger ST1. I rapidly opened the box and began to install the wheels, which is where my problem begins. The wheels that were shipped with my ST1 have a recessed hub. The tool provided with my ST1 does not reach the nut because of the four arms with the other nut drivers (so I thought). No problem, I grabbed my socket set and 17mm socket. Not a solution! It is too large to fit into the bottom of the recess and tighten the nut. So, back to the wrench provided. As stated earlier I originally thought the problem was with the four arms of the wrench and figured that if I remove the arms - the wrench should work. A few minutes later, back from the band saw with a modified wrench which is now just a socket, I tilted the ST1 on its side and proceeded to insert the new socket. This still does not fit!
My next step was to revisit the hobby shop where my wife had made the purchase. When my wife made the purchase, the chrome wheels were mentioned as though they were a featured item. The owners of the hobby shop have never seen these wheels. We proceeded to try every 17mm socket they had ¨C none of them worked. They even called a couple of other hobby shops in the area and still no luck. They suggested I try a thin wall socket from Sears or Home Depot which I did and they are all still to large to fit into the recess to reach and tighten the nut.
As you can see I am out of options and my ST1 is sitting in the basement collecting dust. I am hoping that you would be able to provide a suggestion that will help me get my ST1 on the road. I have heard many great things about the ST1 and look forward to getting mine on the road. Without the ability of tightening the wheels, this is a pretty useless purchase.

Answer:
Dear Mr. Jason McCracken,
Thank you for the mail.
We are sorry for the wrong tool that comes with the ST-1. The wheels for ST-1 have been modified, therefore, they have a deeper recess. The original supplied spanner can not be applied to tightening the nuts on the wheels. However, we have additionally supplied suitable spanners to our distributors. Please feel free to contact CANADIAN HOBBYCRAFT LTD. as follows for the spanner.
