G15 engine
Question:
To Whom it may concern,
I bought a .15 size Thunder Tiger engine , brand new out of the box I tried
to start it, but it is so tight it squeaks when you try to turn it over;
further a high torque starter won't turn it over. Where is the nearest
dealer that I can send engine to for either repair or replacement?
Jesse Paz
Answer:
Dear Jesse,
Thank you for your mail.
There is a different design for the piston between a PRO engine and a GP engine that a piston ring is used in a PRO engine to keep the pressurization but not in a GP. Therefore, the frictional surface for a GP must be bigger than a PRO. That is why the GP is tighter than the PRO. You may try to start your engine when the piston is not at the top or bottom and make sure the fuel comes into the engine by the way. Anyway, please feel free to contact our subsidiary company, ACE HOBBY, in USA as followed for service and support.
