Break-in for PRO series Engines
Question:
Hi,
I purchase a .46 PRO series engine and I would like to know more about de break-in procedure.
The manual doesn't say so much about that. I need to know things like:
- how many fuel tanks I have to spend at break-in procedures in low RPM;
- how many flys I have to do with low or medium RPM;
- When the break-in procedure is totaly finished;
- Is there anoter tip to use with this engine?
One last question: The manual say to use a long reach glow plug. May I use a nº8 O.S. Glow plug for a good performance?
Can you help me with this?
Thank you a lot!!!
Answer:
Dear Pedro,
Thanks for your email. There is not any particular standard for how many tanks of fuel or flights that a breaking in procedure should go through. Basically, to keep the engine run rich and to avoid over high RPM in the initial stage are necessary. Besides, no. 8 O.S. plug is suitable for PRO-46.
