Question:
Hi TT. I'm thinking of trying to swap the .28 engine in my spare MTA4 truck for a CEN Genesis .46 engine, also spare from another truck. The engine and i'ts mount fit the chassis with room to spare. I'm not sure if the plastic spur gear would handle the extra power though. Is there a metal upgrade? The internal gears on the .28 version gearbox are already metal. Not sure if the shafts are up to the job though. The truck would only be used for light 'park cruising' so won't be getting to much abuse! I've got all the bits i need to do it (engine, mount, exhaust ect). Just wondered what your thoughts were on the spur gear before getting stuck in! Cheers. Gareth. U.K.
